The 2nd Festival “Open Volga” took place from 7 to 9 of September in Yoshkar-Ola where Radio Guide presented its technical achievements and held a workshop “Use of modern equipment when working with tourists”. This festival is one of few events that unite people with different professional background and different nationality.

The format of the festival is a presentation and it concerns all the areas of tourism. The Forum is aimed to further development of neighbor regions’ domestic tourism; it gathered together the best professionals and experts of this field – more than 300 participants overall – from 12 regions of Volga Federal District. There was organized a fair on the square with souvenirs brought from participating regions and products from the Mari El Republic. The purpose of this event was to develop the inbound and domestic tourism, in particular to make participants familiar with the culture and traditions of the district, to establish business contacts between them, to exchange the professional experience and to increase the investment activity in the tourist industry. During three days of Festival the participants could see the beautiful performances, visit the training seminars and participate in serious discussions. And the most important is that they could know their neighbor regions of Volga Federal District better and exchange contacts, ideas and emotions.
