On April 7, 2016, Saint Petersburg hosted the XIV Round Table “Museum and problems of “cultural tourism”, organized by the Sector of Tourism and Special Programs of the State Hermitage. 

The event gathered more than 130 representatives from more than 50 leading museums, universities, enterprises of tourist industry of Russia interested in the creation of new joint projects. The delegates arrived from Saint Petersburg, Moscow and many regions of Russia, as well as from Syria, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. 

During the Round Table the participants discussed the problems of museum work with the visitors, inter-museum projects, new special programs aimed at improving the museum tourism, the prospects of cooperation of museums with tourist organizations, issues of the government program of the Russian Federation “Culture and Tourism Development” for 2016-2020 years. 

The museum society listened with great interest to the report of Advertising Manager of Radio Guide Vladimir Stepanchenko, who presented the basic and new products of the company, as well as the variants of their integration into the museum space.

According to the Head of the Sector of Tourism and Special Programs of the State Hermitage Olga Arkhipova, Radio Guide Company is a long-term and reliable partner of the State Hermitage, and nowadays it is difficult to imagine the work of a huge museum without the help of Radio Guide equipment.
