The XIX meeting of the International Advisory Board of the State Hermitage took place on August 30, 2013 The meeting was dedicated to actual problems of development of the State Hermitage. Business conferences took place in the Council Hall. As it usually is, subjects for discussion were presented by M. B. Piotrovsky, the general director of the State Hermitage. The concept of development of the State Hermitage for the next 10 years ("The concept of the development plan "the Great Hermitage (2012/2022)" became the main subject of discussion on the Advisory Board. Besides, during meetings Rem Koolhaas' two architectural projects (The Maliy Hermitage and Library in the Old Village) were considered. Reports were made by Lukin V.P., the chief architect of the State Hermitage, and Jeanne Bystrykh, the representative of architectural bureau of Rem Koolhaas, the Netherlands.
